Bovet Sportster

Bovet timepieces are best described by words prestige, luxury, excellence, tradition, creativity and precision. Swiss luxury watch manufacturer became famous for its extraordinary decorated pocket watches made for the Chinese market which became one of the most sought after luxury items in the 19th century. Bovet's approach to watchmaking notable for use of the finest materials and movements as well as for allowing its artisans a great deal of independence results in an unique style which makes Bovet men's watches truly special. The unique style and the company's strive for perfection and beauty reflecting Bovet's dedication to tradition, creativity and excellence is perhaps best represented by the Bovet Sportster collection. All five Sportster models - Chronograph 40 mm, Chronograph 44 mm, Saguaro Chronograph, Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 45 and Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 51 - are distinguished for their outstanding case design inspired by the legendary pocket watches, Art Deco inspired numerals, the traditional serpentine hand, unique placement of the winding crown and chronograph push-buttons, and high-performance movement but there are several important differences between particular Sportster models. Highly elegant Sportster Chronograph 40 mm comes in stainless steel case and besides hour and minute display features chronograph with serpentine second hand, minute counter at 9 o'clock, second counter at 3 o'clock and a large date display at 12 o'clock. It is powered by mechanical self-winding caliber 12BA01 movement, has a power reserve of 42 hours and is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). The Sportster Chronograph 44 mm distinguishes itself from the 40 mm model by having larger and more robust case with diameter 44 millimeters which is also available in blue PVD stainless steel. The Saguaro Chronograph features a permanent second counter at 6 o'clock, while the case with diameter 46 millimeters is available in stainless steel, stainless steel and 18 carat red gold bow, and 18 carat red gold. The Sportster Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 45 and Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 51 do not have much in common with other Sportster models except for the case design inspired by a pocket watch. Both premium watches issued in limited edition are marked by unique dial with openings revealing the movement decorated in Bovet's Fleurisanne style and a second counter on tourbillon cage at 3 o'clock. Both models have a power reserve of 7 days and are water resistant to 300 meters (900 feet). The only difference between the Sportster Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 45 and Saguaro 7-Day Tourbillon 51 is size of the 18 carat red gold and titanium PVD case which is 45 millimeters in diameter, respectively, 51 millimeters.
