The company became famous with its Titanic-DNA Collection containing steel of the famous ocean liner that sunk in 1912. The collection by many considered controversial was a major success and when the watch world though it saw everything the Romain Jerome has surprised with it Moon Dust-DNA Collection containing fragments of Apollo XI spacecraft and mineral structure with dust from the moon. The Moon Dust Collection launched in 2009 offers four different versions. All four models - Gold Mood, Steel Mood, Black Moon and Steel Mood with gem-set diamonds are powered by Calibre C22RJ51 and contain fragments of Apollo XI spacecraft and mineral structure with moon dust. All version from the Moon Dust Collection also feature carbon fibers on the bezel replicating solar panels and steel with fragments of Apollo XI. The black dial containing dust from the moon evokes the surface of the moon and has hands designed to replicate the antennas of the famous USSR satellite Sputnik. Small seconds inspired by landing target are located at 9 o'clock. The dial also features "RJ", the brand's logo at 12 o'clock. Like the name suggests, the main difference between the the four versions of Moon Dust-DNA Collection is the material the case and bezel are made from but they also distinguish themselves by the color of the dial. Gold Mood features 5N pink gold in the bezel, has a red gold case and black dial. Steel Mood comes with steel bezel and case, and silver dial, while Black Mood has a white dial. Steel Mood with gem-set diamond is distinctive for round diamonds set in the bezel. All four models are issued in limited edition of 1,969 pieces marking the year Neil Armstrong became the first man to step on the moon.
