One of the most recognizable Eberhard's men's watches is the Chrono 4, the first chronograph with counters arranged in one row. It was launched in 2001 and revolutionized the time reading. All four counters - small-second counter, 30 minute counter, one hour counter and 24 hour counter are arranged in a horizontal row which makes the reading of time more practical and logical. The Chrono 4 has 53 rubies mechanical automatic winding chronograph. Watch case with 40 mm in diameter is available in steel or 18K pink gold and features a domed sapphire antireflective glass. All models have a caseback fixed by 8 screws and come with steel Chalin bracelet or crocodile strap which is available in different colour versions. The dial index is available in white, black and blue colour. Screw-in crown at the side of the case features a personalized "E". Counters feature a luminescent coating enabling the reading of time during night. All Chrono 4 models are water resistant to 5 atmospheres (165 feet).
The Chrono 4 is an impressive timepiece and has everything a man could demand from a luxury watch. The company also launched a larger version called the Chrono 4 Grande Taille with a case in diameter 43 mm which also features all four counters arranged in horizontal row. The new version is also distinctive for use of rubber on the crown and push buttons and besides with the classical steel bracelet and crocodile strap also comes with rubber strap. In 2005, the company introduced even more daring version of the Chrono 4 - the Chrono 4 Temerario with all four counters arranged in a vertical row. The chronograph's push buttons are situated at 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock. The crown is kept in a small chamber at 12 o'clock which opens when triggering a lever situated at the level of the chronograph's push button at 1 o'clock. Check more Eberhard watches.
