Audemars Piguet is a Swiss luxury watch manufacture timepieces of which are considered among the finest in the world. The company dates its history back to 1875 when Jules- Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet began to create complication watches in the Joux Valley laying the foundation stone of one of the top luxury watch manufactures in the world. The extraordinary white enamel dial is marked by off-centred hour-minute dial (located at 12 o'clock) with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands, small second subdial adorned with the brand's name (at 6 o'clock) and power reserve indicator at 8 o'clock. The dial also reveals the famous AP escapement and parallel-mounted twin barrels making the appearance of the watch one of the kind. The masterpiece is powered by hand-wound calibre 2908 movement with the AP escapement which is renowned for excellent efficiency and extraordinary shock-resistance. The case in diameter 46 mm is made of 950 platinum and has a sapphire crystal back. The Jules Audemars Chronometer with AP escapement has a power reserve of approximately 56 hours and is water resistant to 20 meters (65 feet).
